Award Condition
To maintain the integrity of the Australia Awards Scholarship program, applicants who are selected for the scholarship must enter into a formal agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia. By signing this contract, they commit to fulfilling the conditions outlined by the scholarship.
One of these conditions is that scholars must return to their home country after completing their studies in Australia and remain there for a minimum period of two years. This requirement is essential for scholars to contribute positively to the development of their home countries upon their return.
Failure to comply with this condition will result in the scholar incurring a debt equivalent to the total cost of their scholarship. This measure ensures accountability and fairness within the scholarship program, as it aims to uphold the intended purpose of fostering development and capacity-building in scholars’ home countries
